After being pushed back from its original start date because of this year’s weather, Mission’s Martway reconstruction project has begun and the street closings have kicked in.

Martway is now closed at Woodson where the box bridge that carries Rock Creek under the intersection will be replaced. The intersection will be closed for about 45 days, but more Martway construction will close the street for much of the summer.

The Rock Creek Trail also is being detoured around the construction zone, re-routing along 61st Street from Lamar to Nall during construction.
