Midwest Chamber Ensemble

Working under the sponsorship of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, the Midwest Chamber Ensemble is dedicated to the performance of Chamber Orchestra and Chamber Ensemble music of the Western Art tradition.  Concerts are performed by talented, local, auditioned, pre-professional musicians, providing them a professional working environment.   Our goal is to balance the training aspect of the musicians with providing the audience quality musical performances.

Sacred Arts Chorale

A combination of Central Baptist Theological Seminary students, alumni/ae, and professional singers, the Chorale contributes to the seminary’s worship life and other special events throughout the academic year. Under the direction of Dr. Rebecca L. Johnson, the singers, who auditioned for a place in the Chorale, meet once a week for rehearsals and have performed as a part of the Sacred Arts Recital Series in the Baugh‐Marshall Chapel on the Central Seminary campus in Shawnee, KS, as well as at other Kansas City metro area venues. The Chorale’s gifted vocalists promote innovation and excellence in service to the sacred traditions, practices, and liturgies of contemporary worshipping communities.
