Lenexa Complete Streets Public Workshop
Lenexa Complete Streets Plan Public Workshop Announced
Thursday, March 21, Thompson Barn
(Lenexa, KS) - The City of Lenexa is developing the Lenexa Complete Streets Plan that includes recommendations for creating a plan for key enhancements that considers all users of a roadway – including drivers, pedestrians, bicy¬clists, and transit users – to increase safety, comfort, and efficiency for all ages and lifestyles. The final Lenexa Complete Streets Plan will be completed in late spring or early summer of 2019.
The final public workshop will be held on Thursday, March 21 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Thompson Barn, 11184 Lackman Rd., Lenexa, KS. This will be an informal session for Lenexa City staff and the consulting team to share draft recommendations and concepts and to have an interactive discussion with the public about the proposed Plan. Public participation is encouraged and will help finalize the vision for the Lenexa Complete Streets Plan. This is a come-and-go event. Bring the family and join the City for an evening of interactive planning!
Concepts for the Lenexa Complete Streets Plan have been developed based on public input from the first public workshop held in the Fall of 2018, stakeholder interviews, an online survey as well as a community survey facilitated by ETC Institute and an extensive analysis of walking and bicycling conditions.
The public can find information about the project at lenexa.com/completestreets. There will be comment forms available at the public workshop as well as an online survey at this link after the event. Please join us and share your ideas!
