Asbury UMC Community Food Pantry Food Drive
Earlier this spring, as the coronavirus pandemic took hold across the nation, Asbury UMC recognized the community's need for help with feeding their families and keeping their homes clean and safe. So we started an outdoor food pantry ministry. What began as a couple shelves outside our front door with cans of food and some rolls of toilet paper has turned into a much-needed resource for struggling families in our community!
We are happy that our ministry has continued to grow so that we can serve as many people as possible. That being said, we are always welcoming donations from people who are in a position to help!
We are hosting a Curbside Food Pantry Drop-Off on Saturday, June 27 from 9 am to 12 pm for our outdoor food pantry ministry. Drop off your non-perishable food items (cereal/bars, pasta and sauce, rice, canned items besides vegetables, and baby food in particular need) or much-needed household items such as diapers, bottled water, personal hygiene items and paper towels in our back parking lot by Hager Hall.
You won't even need to leave your car! Just pop open your trunk and our volunteers will be happy to unload your donations for you. Our church address is 5400 W. 75th St., Prairie Village, KS 66208. Contact the church office at 913.432.5573 or Steve Trenholm at email@example.com if you have any questions. Let's rally together to help out our neighbors! Thank you so much for considering this community need.
