Development along the Kansas Highway 7 corridor continues in Lenexa, with planning commission approval Monday of a preliminary plan for a medical office building at 9471 Meadow View Drive.
Driving the news: The commission unanimously approved a preliminary plan that calls for a one-story, three-tenant building on the northeast corner of Prairie Star Parkway and Meadow View Drive.
The new structure would be just west of K-7, across the street from a Casey’s completed in 2021.
It is also near some other medical offices including an AdventHealth Lenexa hospital to the south across Prairie Star Parkway.
Details: The proposed building will be for 11,641 square feet on 1.35 acres.
The plan includes a patio on the east side and public space with a sidewalk connection on the west.
When completed, it will have three tenants – a dentist office, medical clinic and optometrist/eye care office.
What else: Commissioners approved the plan without much discussion.
“It’s a nice-looking project, a nice-looking building. I look forward to having additional service out in this part of the community,” said Chairman Chris Poss.
What’s next: The full council will consider the idea at its December 20 meeting.
