JCCC offers free, comprehensive resources to help students study smart, including tutoring, academic accommodations and dedicated study spaces.
It’s a busy time of the year at Johnson County Community College! JCCC students are prepping for finals week, gearing up for Winter Session classes and looking forward to spring semester. No matter where a student is at on their education journey, JCCC has people and resources to assist every step of the way.
Free resource centers available for students
While we offer tools and resources to support students all year long, they’re especially important during final exams. Our state-of-the-art Academic Resource Center is a single stop for free tutoring across multiple subjects. Students can meet with their tutor online or in-person for as many sessions as they need to prep for finals.
State-of-the-art study spaces
JCCC provides study spaces all across campus that are perfect for students prepping for exams. Many of these areas have laptops and tablets available for checkout or offer desktop PCs for students to work from. Students can reserve study rooms and collaboration areas in the Library, Academic Resource Center and CoLab. These spaces are great for group work and end-of semester projects. Many students are surprised just how focused and productive they can be when they find a dedicated study space.
Access Services for students with disabilities
While there are a lot of spaces in which to learn and study, JCCC wants every student to feel empowered to ask for help when they need it. JCCC’s Access Services office helps students who need specific learning accommodations in their classes. These accommodations can range from extended test-taking time to assistive technology, interpreting and notetaking support. The Access Services team is ready to partner with students navigating their academic and career paths.
Enroll now for winter and plan early for spring
As students are looking forward to the end of the fall semester, we’re already enrolling for future terms.
JCCC offers a winter session for students who want to earn a few college credits during their winter break. Like all our courses, these accelerated four-week online classes are offered at JCCC’s affordable tuition rate. For out-of-town students visiting home for winter break, these classes are a great way to make the most of their downtime to grab a quick class whose credits can transfer to their current school.
Now is also the perfect time for students to start preparing for spring 2023. Spring semester students can look forward to flexible class times and delivery methods, knowledgeable professors and exciting student events as they work toward their degree or certificate. Spring 2023 enrollment is currently open, the semester starts Jan. 17.
