Kansas City PBS presents All These Delicate Sorrows, a deeply personal documentary that follows the journey of Jewish survivors of the Holocaust who immigrated to the United States and settled in Kansas City after the allied liberation in 1945. From Emmy-winning producer Brad Austin (Bird: Not Out of Nowhere; Me, Dorothy…And This Road to Oz), All These Delicate Sorrows focuses on these emotional stories, featuring interviews with descendants of Holocaust survivors and archival video testimonials as well as commentary from local historians. The film chronicles the years in which these new Americans arrived and began to rebuild the lives they had lost. Many of them worked to secure lasting legacies in the Kansas City area, fostering education of the Holocaust through civic engagement. All These Delicate Sorrows airs on KCPBS Channel 19.1 on Thursday, June 17, at 7 p.m. and will be available to stream beginning Friday, June 18, here.
