Updates from Johnson County Community College: COVID-19 Response

We consider the health and safety of the JCCC community to be a top priority. Our Incident Response Team has been closely monitoring reports of COVID-19 and considering the immediate impact to our campus community. This is an evolving issue and will continue to change over the coming weeks. Work is underway to determine what the remainder of the semester will look like – including graduation – and how we’ll prepare for future semesters.

Recent Update

After a COVID-19 exposure case was tied to JCCC on Saturday, March 14, we can now report that the Johnson County Department of Health and Environment (JCDHE) has officially closed their investigation. Those who were potentially exposed were contacted by the JCDHE directly. We are not aware of, nor can we release, any footprint of where this individual may have been on campus. After an extensive cleaning process and 72-hour prevention window guided by the JCDHE, campus reopened to essential personnel only on Wednesday, March 18.

Remote course delivery begins between March 23 and March 30. Students should log into Canvas for specific instructions on each course they are enrolled in.

Campus Resources

During the campus closure, several resource areas have adjusted hours and delivery methods in an ongoing effort to assist students. Here’s the latest:
