New restaurant from Cáfe Provence proprietors at Prairie Village’s Meadowbrook Inn will be called Verbena

Verbena and The Market will be located at The Inn at Meadowbrook, 4901 Meadowbrook Parkway. Both are expected to open in April 2020.

Joanne and Patrick Quillec, creators of Prairie Village’s Cáfe Provence and French Market, on Tuesday provided new details on the restaurant and a cafe they’re bringing to the soon-to-open Meadowbrook Inn.

Verbena, an American restaurant, and The Market, a cafe, are both set to open at the Prairie Village development in April. The Quillecs — who have more than 30 years of experience running restaurants — said in the announcement that they are excited to open a new restaurant in Prairie Village, which has been their home for over 20 years.

“It has been a dream to open another restaurant in the place we call home, and we are eagerly looking forward to serving you at Verbena and The Market in the near future,” the Quillecs said in the announcement.

Below are some new menu items that customers can expect at the restaurant and cafe:

  • Lobster rolls
  • Seasonal fish, flown in daily
  • “Thoughtfully sourced meat”
  • Locally grown and reared ingredients
  • Soups, salads, freshly baked breads and more at The Market

The new restaurant and cafe combo will merge Midwestern comfort food with East Coast influences. Both Verbena and The Market will be located at The Inn at Meadowbrook, 4901 Meadowbrook Parkway. The Market will serve as a grab-and-go cafe right next to Verbena, which will be more of a fine dining experience like Cáfe Provence.
