2020FIT: Sweat it out

We’ve got a new functional fitness plus cardio class that we’re so excited about. As a part of opening our new facility tomorrow we’re trying a new type of workout that should appeal to everyone from beginners to those with lots of fitness experience. Sweat, a functional fitness program, is heavy on the cardio while also using body movements to improve strength.

What is functional fitness? It’s basically training for life. It’s a type of workout that prepares the body for everyday movements and activities – from carrying children, to lifting suitcases, it’s getting competent and strong for the things we need to do everyday.

“It came back to our values and what we’re trying to do as an organization,” says 2020FIT Founder Jon Rowley. “Our whole emphasis is functional fitness….At the end of the day you need to at least move your body.”

This accessible new program has an accessible price point as well. For just $119 a month members will have access to Sweat and the brand new yoga program, just in time for the grand opening of the new 2020FIT facility.

“We’re hoping this will be a way to get in the door,” says Rowley.
