Lenexa Rec Center hosting month-long back-to-basics hygiene products drive. The Lenexa Rec Center is hosting a drive for personal hygiene products for the next four weeks in partnership with Giving the Basics. The products will be distributed to area pantries and schools to benefit families and children who cannot afford them. Drop off donated items in the designated bin in the Rec Center lobby during the month of November. Here’s the theme of items for each week from Nov. 1 to 30:
- Week 1: No More Bad Hair Day – Hair brushes, combs, shampoo, or conditioner.
- Week 2: The Unmentionables – Feminine hygiene products, toilet paper, baby wipes, incontinence pads, etc.
- Week 3: Clean Sweep – Dish soap, toilet bowel cleaner, Clorox wipes, Body wash, soap and deodorant.
- Week 4: Show Off Your Grill – Toothpaste, toothbrushes, dental floss, etc.
