Photographer Andrew Poland of Poland Photographs sent along the following shots from the event.

Former WDAF meteorologist Mike Thompson served as emcee of the parade.
The color guard came decked out in Revolutionary War attire.
The Shawnee Fire Department used a ladder truck to fly a large American flag over the parade route.
SM North graduate Grace Altenhofen was named this year’s Junior Pioneer.
Mrs. Kansas Randi Cole of Johnson County made an appearance.
