Prairie Village’s annual large item pickup will be April 13 and 20. Prairie Village is offering its free annual large item pick up next month. Residents can get rid of unwanted large items from their garages and basements. Residents who live on and north of 75th Street or east of Belinder can participate Saturday, April 13. Residents who live south of 75th Street (except those east of Belinder) can participate Saturday, April 20. A complete list of Collected items, which must be at the curb by 7 a.m., can be found at pvkansas.com/largeitempickup or call Republic Services at 913-281-4343.

88th Terrace in Lenexa to close for about six weeks. Lenexa city staff announced that 88th Terrace will close between Winchester Street and Penrose Lane starting Tuesday, March 26, for about six weeks, to accommodate nearby construction. Overland Park man now facing federal charges related to human trafficking arrest in Lenexa. An Overland Park man who was arrested in Lenexa and jailed in Johnson County for human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation had those charges dropped and is now facing two charges in federal court in Missouri instead. Flemming, 36, is charged with two counts of engaging in a commercial sex act with a minor. He’s being tried in the Western District Court of Missouri.
