Your Community: My Fellow Kansans LIVE

Share this story:

From its bloody free-state beginnings to present-day, red-state conservatism, My Fellow Kansans asks: How did Kansas get here?

My Fellow Kansans explores one of the most pivotal chapters in the state’s history — its hard turn to the right over the past three decades. A turn driven by abortion and other culture-war wedge issues, and by politicians skilled in exploiting them.

My fellow Kansans, join an informative, entertaining and engaging evening of politics and podcasts. Host Jim McLean and special guests will analyze the current political landscape in Kansas, and discuss what it all means for the upcoming election. You’ll hear from members of the Kansas News Service, and producers of the podcast, to learn more about the making of My Fellow Kansans.

This event will feature never-before-heard podcast footage to bring you inside the interviews. The audience is encouraged to ask questions throughout, so don’t be shy — join the discussion!

The event will be held on Thursday, October 25 at the Johnson County Library Central Resource location and begins promptly at 6:30. Doors open at 6:00.
