Want to get an early and exciting start on Christmas? Come to “Christmas in July” at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 6306 Roe Blvd., Prairie Village, Kansas, on Saturday, July 14, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Southminster is conveniently located at the SW corner of 63rd and Roe. Bring your friends and family! We promise a day of leisurely eating and shopping, with the friendliest salespeople ever.
You can start by enjoying a delicious brunch or lunch, or maybe just a cup of coffee and a special baked treat. Food items will include quiche selections, kid-friendly items, fruit bowl, salad bowl, an array of homemade pastries and yummy desserts, plus hot Roasterie coffee and cold beverages. Items priced separately, so select your favorites. We will offer comfortable tables for eating and enjoying fellowship with friends before or after shopping. No tipping necessary.
Now you are ready to shop! Various shopping areas will include assorted gently-used books, treasures you will value, sets of 10 artistic 5×7 Christmas cards of a Chrismon tree and smaller 4×5 notecards of a cross, plus and arts and crafts. Check out the Limoges china tea sets. The variety of gifts available will amaze you – beautiful quilts made by our members, crocheted afghans, jewelry, unique ornaments, seasonal décor, knitted baby caps, framed art, fairy garden, folk art, toys and even something for your furry friend. One craft area will be items especially of interest to children. We will also offer some craft kits for your purchase and enjoyment at home.
We want you to know that the dollars you spend will go directly to support mission projects around the community, annually selected by our Southminster Presbyterian Women. Southminster Presbyterian is a church with its eye and heart on needs of people within our own area and we respond by reaching out with financial support and volunteer service.
