Musical season continues in Shawnee Mission this week with the debut of SM Northwest’s 2018 production, “Pirates of Penzance.”
The Gilbert and Sullivan operetta is a comedic take on the plight of a young pirate-in-training who is cut from his indentured servitude only to find that freedom is relative.
The first performance will be tonight at 7 p.m. in the Greg Parker Auditorium at SM Northwest, 12701 W. 67th St. Additional performances will be 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Tickets are free to SM Northwest students who present a valid student ID. The cost for members of the general public is $10 per ticket, with tickets available at the door.
