That means Lt. Gov. Jeff Colyer, a former state representative and senator for parts of southern Johnson County and a candidate for governor in this year’s election, will move into the state’s top office.

Culinary Center of Kansas City brings in new “King of Culinary Curriculum.” The Culinary Center of Kansas City, located in downtown Overland Park, has announced the hiring of Stephen Velie as the new “King of Culinary Curriculum.” Velie brings a variety of experience to the role, including three decades as a monk. He will be in charge of all the center’s classes for the public.
