Photographer captures a myriad of magnificent birds on trip to Leawood Park

Bald_EagleThe inimitable Dr. Carol Tucker took her dog for a walk in Leawood Park this week, and came back with a camera full of photos of not-too-common-around-here birds.

“In addition to the Bald Eagle… I saw a Kingfisher, Blue Birds, Golden Eye ducks, Red Bellied Woodpeckers, Hooded Mergansers, Great Blue Heron, Juncos, Wrens, Chickadees and several ducks whose identify I didn’t know,” she writes us. “A couple who has walked at Leawood Park for over 40 years told me this was the first time to see a Bald Eagle.”
