Advance in-person voting starts today for municipal, school board elections. Shawnee Mission voters can head to advance voting locations starting today to cast their ballots in the fall elections. The county election office has set up advance voting operations at the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center in Overland Park and the Johnson County Northeast Offices at 6000 Lamar in Mission. Both locations are open for advance voting Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. You must be registered to vote and bring a valid photo identification. School board members will hear results of superintendent profile process. Members of the Shawnee Mission School Board tonight will get to hear the results of Ray and Associates survey and input sessions gathering information on the characteristics patrons want to see from the next superintendent. The special board of education meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the Center for Academic Achievement.
