Police investigating second home invasion robbery in 75th Street neighborhood this month

For the second time this month, Prairie Village police are investigating a robbery in the 5100 block of W 75th Street in Prairie Village.

Officers say they received a report on Saturday morning of a man entering a home through an unlocked door, and then forcing the resident into a room in the home while he went through pilfering things before fleeing the scene.

On May 19, a man rang the doorbell of a residence in the same block and forced his way into the home after a resident answered. Then, as in the most recent report, the man directed the resident to a room in the home while he went through stealing things.

Police say the perpetrator is a “black male, 20 to 30 years of age, approximately 6`00 with a muscular build, and wearing glasses, blue jeans and a dark blue shirt.”

Anyone with information about the break ins should contact Prairie Village police at 913-642-5151 or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
