Businessman plans office tower project for site of Overland Park Presbyterian. Tim Barton, the founder of Freightquote, has purchased the site of Overland Park Presbyterian church and much of the surrounding block with plans to develop a 130,000 to 150,000 square foot office and retail complex, according to the Kansas City Business Journal. Seven NEJC cities teaming up for paper shredding event this weekend. Residents of Fairway, Mission, Mission Hills, Mission Woods, Roeland Park, Westwood and Westwood Hills will have the chance to relieve themselves of some clutter this weekend. The seven cities are hosting a community paper shredding and electronics recycling event this Saturday, April 29, from 9 a.m. to noon at 4350 Shawnee Mission Parkway. Proof of residency in one of the participating cities is required. Paper shredding services are offered for free. Most electronic items can be recycled for free, though there is a fee for larger items like computer monitors and televisions.
