Shawnee Mission East girls basketball program sets dates for summer youth camp. The Shawnee Mission East girls basketball program will host its annual summer youth camp June 12-15. The camp is open to girls in first through eighth grades and will run from 9:30 to noon each day. The cost is $70 per player and includes a camp tee shirt. Prairie Village Coffee with a Cop at Panera this morning. Prairie Village police will be at Panera in Corinth Square this morning from 7 to 9 a.m. for another “Coffee with a Cop” event. The department hosts the events as a way to foster casual conversation between residents and members of the police force.

Mission conducting DUI saturation point tonight. Mission police will be taking part in a state-sponsored effort to crack down on drunken driving tonight. The DUI Saturation Patrol will be conducted by officers specially trained in DUI detection. Vehicles marked “DUI Task Force” will be patrolling the city from 10:45 p.m. Friday to 3 a.m. Saturday.
