Merriam woman killed in crash after car lands on her vehicle. Sherry L. Miller, 63, of Merriam was killed Monday when a car driven by an 18 year old hit a grass embankment and flew into her vehicle. Shawnee Mission East’s Haverty given All-State honorable mention honors. Shawnee Mission East senior Kyle Haverty was given honorable mention honors on the All-State girls basketball teams from both the Wichita Eagle and the Topeka Capital-Journal.
