Macy’s on Wednesday announced the locations of 68 stores across the country that it will be closing as part of cost-cutting measures — and none of the Kansas City-area locations were on the list. That means that the Village Shops store, whose future has been the subject of considerable speculation among real estate developers and city officials in recent years, will remain open for now.
