Leawood Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man suspected in a series of crimes in recent weeks.
The white male entered a pharmacy in Leawood Feb. 11, but fled when he saw an off-duty police officer inside. The same man is suspected in at least two other crimes: an armed robbery and the theft of a vehicle.

The Leawood Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in the attempted robbery of a pharmacy in Leawood, at least one other armed robbery and the theft of a vehicle.
The attempted robbery in Leawood took place on Feb. 11th at approximately 5 p.m. The white male subject entered the pharmacy wearing gloves and covering his face. Once at the interior doorway, he saw an off-duty police officer inside and fled the pharmacy, leaving the parking lot in a silver Jeep Wrangler two door with a black top and no visible license plate.
The suspect was approximately 25-35 years of age, 5-foot-8 to 6- feet tall and had facial hair including a mustache and short beard. He was wearing a grey/black flannel shirt over a white t-shirt, blue jeans, white or grey tennis shoes, black gloves and used a grey balaclava style facemask to conceal his identity.
Since Feb. 11th’s attempted robbery, the suspect and the Wrangler have been connected to other crimes in the Kansas City region.
