Reader Matthew Buss and his wife encountered an unusual sight in the trees near the intersection of Linden and 97th Street in Overland Park this morning: A parrot.

Buss said the parrot “actually came to my wife when she called it.” The Busses took the parrot into their garage and gave it some food while they waited for an animal control officer to come pick it up:
