Delivery of Republic trash containers continues in Prairie Village. Republic Services, Prairie Village’s new waste hauler, continues to deliver its new trash and recycling containers to city residents. Public hearing set for tonight on creation of TIF and STAR Bond districts for Brookridge project. The Overland Park City Council tonight will hold a public hearing on proposals from the develop to create two new public financing districts to help fund the mixed-use development project. The votes tonight are only on whether or not to establish the districts. The city would at a later date have to actually approve public financing agreements. The Shawnee Mission School District is one of two institutions that hold veto power over TIF agreements, and will have the option to reject an agreement if it is approved by the city.
