Prairie Village and Overland Park police respond at 83rd and Fontana to earlier hit-and-run incident

Two people were arrested Thursday night at 83rd and Fontana in Prairie Village following a hit-and-run accident that began in Overland Park.

The incident began with a hit-and-run accident at 83rd and Metcalf, according to Capt. Byron Roberson of the Prairie Village Police Department. Following the accident, the driver of the vehicle that was struck chased the driver of the vehicle that left the scene into Prairie Village.

Overland Park police contacted the Prairie Village police to assist, and the two vehicles were stopped at 83rd and Fontana at about 9:30 p.m. with several cruisers responding from both departments.

Roberson said two arrests were made by Overland Park police in connection with the incident.
