College Clinic returns to SM East tonight. The annual Shawnee Mission College Clinic, now in its 54th year, returns to SM East tonight with representative from more than 200 colleges and universities expected to be on hand. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.. There will be overflow parking with shuttle service to SM East at Brighton Gardens. Annual Prairie Village Fall Festival this Sunday at Porter Park. The Prairie Village Homes Association will be hosting its annual Fall Festival from 1- to 3 p.m. Sunday at Porter Park. There will be games, food and fun for the entire family.
Ribbon-cutting party this Saturday at Nall Park. Roeland Park will be celebrating the completion of improvements to Nall Park from 9- to 11 a.m. Saturday. The park at 48th and Nall has had its restroom, shelter and water fountain restored and its playground equipment refurbished. Refreshments will be served.
Gardner Edgerton school district settles sexual discrimination suit with current Shawnee Mission administrator. The Gardner Edgerton school district has settled wrongful termination claims against three former administrators, including Dr. Christy Ziegler, who now holds a top position in the Shawnee Mission School District. Ziegler and colleague Lana Gerber alleged they faced sexual discrimination from the board members that voted to fire them.
