Bob Peters of Prairie Village has been dabbling with cars since the 1950s. His long list of past possessions includes a variety of cars and motorcycles.

So, it was no surprise to find Peters in Merriam Saturday at the Turkey Creek Car and Motorcycle Show along with hundreds of other exhibitors and even more spectators. Peters was showing his 1957 Porsche Speedster replica made by Intermeccanica in the late 1970s that he has owned for about five years.

In the early days he gravitated to a number of English cars and motorcycles – MGs and Triumphs -before moving through other manufacturers.

The cars and motorcycles filled the Merriam Marketplace and lined Merriam Drive Saturday for the annual show that features 60 prizes for exhibitors.
