Turkey Creek Car Show will draw car lovers to Merriam Marketplace on Saturday

If you are into classic cars, you will want to head to Merriam Saturday.

The 16th annual Turkey Creek Car and Motorcycle Show will be held at the Merriam Marketplace, 5740 Merriam Drive, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday. The show is free to spectators.

Approximately 300 cars are expected to show up for the popular event. Owners of classic cars can register their cars in advance at the Irene B. French Community Center before 5 p.m. Friday for $20 or on the day of the event for $30.

Registered car owners will receive a t-shirt, dash plaque and calendar featuring winners from the last event. The show will give out more than 60 awards with a grand prize of $4,000.

The parking lot will open at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday with event day registration starting at 8 a.m. The awards ceremony will be held at 3:30 p.m.
