India Fest provide cultural exchange. Thousands of people packed into the Overland Park Convention Center this weekend for the fifth annual India Fest, which featured dances, food and other wares from many regional Indian sub-cultures. SM East girls golf tops in league. The SM East girls golf team won the SM Northwest Varsity Invitation tournament with team score of 335, besting SM West which came in second with a 359. Teagan Noblit shot an 80, Emma Linscott had an 84 and Marti Fromm had an 85 for the second through fourth places. SM East had six of the top 10 individual scores.

Chamber holding Burgers, Bourbon & Blues. The Northeast Johnson County Chamber of Commerce will be bringing back its popular Burgers, Bourbon & Blues event at the Overland Park Marriott from 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 22. The cost is $20 per person. A pre-party for EdgeJC young professionals group will start at 4:30 p.m.
