KU football coach David Beaty to highlight KU Kickoff at Corinth Square tonight

Fans of KU football will want to be at Corinth Square at 6 p.m. today for the annual pep rally to welcome the new season.

The KU Kickoff at Corinth Square event will feature David Beaty, head football coach; Heath Peterson, president of the KU Alumni Association, and other guests from the university.

The event is sponsored by the University of Kansas Alumni Association and Kansas Athletics. It will be located directly west of Johnny’s Tavern at 83rd Street and Mission Road.

The family-friendly rally will include inflatable games, food, drinks, KU giveaways and entertainment from the KU Band, Spirit Squad, and Big Jay and Baby Jay. Enjoy music with Spencer from 6-9 p.m.

Members of the KU Alumni Association will receive a free member appreciation gift, but don’t forget to bring your membership card.

KU will open the 2016 season on Sept. 3 with a home game against Rhode Island.
