Dewey’s also will feature local craft beer on tap including Boulevard, KC Bier and Tall Grass. Regional and national craft beers and selected wines also will be available.
The 3,600 square-foot restaurant at 95th Street and Mission Road seats about 95 people. It opened to the public on Monday.
Christina Handcock is the regional manager for Kansas City. She said Dewey’s is currently hiring for servers, hosts and cooks for the Overland Park location. People interested in applying can go to the firm website or apply in person Monday through Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. In addition to the Overland Park location, Dewey’s has 16 restaurants in its home market as well as six in the St. Louis area. Its first shop opened in Cincinnati back in 1998.
Dewey’s new Overland Park location is in the building previously occupied by Oz’s Maq Donuts House, which left the center in December 2015 after more than 30 years of operations under different names.
