Reader Sally Hohensee sent in the following note and photos of a couple of hawks visiting her Prairie Village home:

“We had a pair of hawks visit us Monday evening in Prairie Village, Falmouth Street near Windsor Street. They hung around for about half an hour. I don’t know what kind they are. The larger one, on the left, was darker, had stripes on his tail, and a white breast. He(?) got down on the lawn and snuggled into the grass to cool off. The smaller one, on the right, was lighter in color and had a pinkish head. I hope they come back!”
