The Prairie Village city council this week approved contracts to bring brand new playground equipment to two city parks and a substantial upgrade to the equipment at another. The council approved a contract for $149,672 with Athco LLC and Fry Park and Playground for two new structures at Taliaferro Park, a new structure at Windsor Park, and a refreshment of the equipment at Bennett Park. Graphics of the new structures follow.

The choice of the new structures was informed by input gathered by city staff and parks committee members at a public meeting in April.
Installation of the equipment will begin this fall, and should take four to six weeks per park once it begins.
