Trailer for film on Tim Grimes cancer fight released. SM East graduate Tim Grimes’ against-the-odds fight against advanced cancer is the subject of a new short film being produced here in Kansas City. The filmmakers released a trailer for the project this week. You can view it here.

Young swimmers from across the county compete in championships as PV pool. It took some flexibility to work the competition in around the storms, but Prairie Village played host on Wednesday to the annual All City Swim Championships. More than 400 kids from across Johnson County participated in the event, which has taken place for more than 60 years. Chili and country music in Roeland Park. October 15 will be the date for the next community fundraising event to benefit R Park. A “Chili and Country Music Jamboree” is scheduled at the Roeland Park Community Center from 6 to 9 p.m. A variety of chili, along with beer and music are among the offerings. Proceeds will be used for a new shelter at the park.
