Whoops! Car falls off road in Mission Road construction zone

Share this story:

The work to add an 8-foot pedestrian and bike path along Mission Road from 71st Street to 75th Street has necessitated new traffic patterns for the past several weeks, and some motorists have found them difficult to navigate.

Case-in-point was a mishap captured by a reader earlier this month:

According to Prairie Village police, the driver was confused by the new traffic pattern and was driving on the wrong side of the construction cones. He ended up piloting the car into a hole in the street. Police say there were no injuries in the single car accident.
