Village Shops, Corinth Square Sidewalk Sales start today. An annual rite of passage for Prairie Village area bargain hunters begins this morning as the 2016 Sidewalk Sale at the Village Shops and Corinth Square gets under way. The sale, which runs from Thursday through Saturday, features deeply discounted merchandise from participating stores, who will have their sale items on display on the sidewalks outside their shops.

Fairway playwright’s work in Fringe Festival. A play written by Donna Ziegenhorn of Fairway will be performed during the Kansas City Fringe Festival later this month at the Unicorn Theatre. True stories collected from individuals who often live on the fringe of society are featured in “Bingo on the Boulevard,” which is inspired by interviews with an undocumented immigrant, female impersonator, schizophrenic patient, and many others.

Mission Coffee with a Cop next week. The Mission Police Department will hold its next session of Coffee with a Cop on July 15 at Twisted Sisters Coffee Shop on Johnson Drive. Coffee, donuts and conversation with police officers will start at 8 a.m.
