Roeland Park recognizes donation for park. Jan Duncan’s contributions to new amenities at R Park were recognized by Roeland Park Monday night when the city council approved a proclamation honoring him for specifically for his most recent help in donating more than $17,000 in labor, piping, ditch excavation, concrete pad and installation for a new drinking fountain at the park. The Citizens Fundraising Initiative paid for the drinking fountain itself through citizen and business donations. Duncan owns Synergy Construction.

Roeland Park traffic blitz tows 13 vehicles. A Monday morning two-hour traffic blitz run by Roeland Park police and Kansas Highway Patrol resulted in 13 towed vehicles, 15 citations, one warrant served and one field sobriety test on Roe Lane. The traffic blitz was looking for drivers who were not licensed.

Casey’s Auto Repair grand opening Saturday. The second location for Casey’s Auto Repair in Mission will hold its grand opening celebration from 11 to 1 p.m. on Saturday with a ribbon cutting at 11:30 a.m. The Casey’s Auto Repair on the Drive is located at 5710 Johnson Drive in Mission.
