The Prairie Village City Council in January approved a new pricing structure that eliminated the “Family Pass” option in favor of individual pricing for every person. The move came partially in response to concerns that some people were abusing the system by claiming people who weren’t part of their immediate family as family members on the pass.
The new categories and rates that are in effect for the 2016 pool season are as follows:
- Resident Individual: $45
- Resident Senior Individual: $40
- Non-Resident Individual: $75
- Non-Resident Senior: $65
- Resident 5 Swim Card: $30
- Non-Resident 5 Swim Card: $35
- Daily Admission: $8
Pool passes went on sale in Prairie Village last Friday. Anyone who purchases their pool pass before April 30 will get a $5 discount on each pass.
The city is also now accepting registrations for the swim and dive teams. Team members must register by Friday, May 13 to participate in this summer’s season.
