SM North wins semi-final game; plays for state championship tonight

SM North is in the state championship.

The Indians handled Blue Valley Northwest 54-42 in the semi-final game Friday night at the boys 6A tournament in Wichita. Tonight they face Wichita Southeast at 6:15 p.m. in the state championship matchup.

Once again, SM North was led by Michael and Marcus Weathers. Michael had 23 points and Marcus finished with 16 points.

The Indians had to mount a third-quarter comeback after being down to BV Northwest by three points at halftime. By the end of the third quarter, the Indians led by 12 points. They are now 20-4 on the season.
