A new set of rankings from a website focused on careers claims that Prairie Village is the smartest city in the state of Kansas.
Zippia’s ranking of 59 Kansas cities is based on the number of residents who don’t have a high school diploma and the number of teenagers who are high school dropouts.
“With a population of 21,730, an almost nonexistent high school dropout rate, and only 1.4% of the adult population without a high school diploma this town earned its #1 spot,” says Zippia of Prairie Village.
Leawood came in second in the rankings, with .8 percent of adults without a diploma and .4 percent of teenagers having dropped out of high school.
Overland Park and Lenexa were the other two Johnson County cities in the top ten.
