Grayson McGuire wasn’t the only northeast Johnson County native who had a big night at the Grammys.

Famed opera singer Joyce DiDonato, who grew up in Prairie Village and attended St. Ann Catholic School and Bishop Miege, earned her second Grammy Monday. DiDonato and Sir Antonio Pappano’s “Joyce & Tony — Live at Wigmore Hall” was named Best Classical Solo Vocal Album.

In 2012, DiDonato won in the same category for her album “Diva, Divo.”
