Prairie Village police welcome three new officers. Prairie Village police on Monday publicly welcomed three new officers who have joined the department. Officers Noelle Burns and Andrew Davidson are sworn officers. Allie Jasminski joins the department as its community resource/animal control officer. Burns and Jasminski are both graduates of K-State, where they received degrees in criminology. Davidson attended the Blue River Police Academy in Independence.

Mission cancels Wednesday meetings. The Mission City Council normally holds its community development and finance and administration committee meetings on the first Wednesday of each month. The Feb. 3 meetings have been cancelled for both committees. They will be rescheduled, according to information posted by the city.
