Merriam police have found the suspects who allegedly pointed a gun at a student walking home from school on Monday.

Police had issued a call for help after the incident to identify three juveniles in a green pickup truck. According to reports, one of the passengers in the truck pointed a gun at a student walking home from Hocker Grove Middle School Monday afternoon. Other Hocker Grove students witnessed the incident, Fox 4 News reported. The incident happened at 57th and Perry in Merriam.

The original reports from Merriam police said a white male passenger pointed a hand gun at the student. One of the truck’s passengers was described as having orange hair. The Fox 4 report said the passenger cocked the gun twice.

“We would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance on this case. We have identified the subjects involved in this incident and are preparing to submit the case to the Johnson County District Attorney for potential charges,” Merriam police said in a statement issued this morning.
