My birthday is coming up, which means I get to indulge in my favorite meal – spaghetti and meatballs. If we are talking about last meals, spaghetti and meatballs would be it for me – there is never a time when this dish does not sound like the perfect thing. But this time of year when the urge to hibernate is so strong it sounds even better than usual.
This recipe is a bit different from my standard, and I may never go back. The inclusion of the wine in the sauce gives it a more complex flavor, and the three types of meat make for a more tender meatball. It’s an Ina recipe, and like so many of them, it really is one of the best I have come across.
