A yoga studio with five current locations between Des Moines and Kansas City will open a new location in Prairie Village this coming spring.

Corinth Square owner First Washington Realty announced today that it had entered a lease agreement with Power Life Yoga to occupy a suite in the northwest building of the shopping center that houses Hattie’s Coffee, Rose Nails, and other businesses. One of the suites in that building was recently vacated by a hearing aide center that moved to Overland Park.

Power Life’s current Kansas City studio is at 4800 Main Street. The company was founded by Des Moines natives Steph and Adam Geneser, high school sweethearts who decided to start their own yoga studio after leaving corporate careers in Denver.

“We work relentlessly to offer a high-quality yoga experience that is easily accessible and accepting of all, and creates relationships that expand out of the studio and into the community,” said Steph Geneser in a release announcing the deal. “Prairie Village is exactly the type of community that shares our values of family, community and hard work. We are thrilled to help enrich lives through our new studio.”

Power Life offers a number of class types, including beginner’s yoga, heated yoga, yoga with weights and barre classes. The studio will feature full locker rooms and a small boutique with clothing.

The tentative move in date will be after the renovations of the building are completed in spring 2016.
