The Village Shops’ Cafe Provence has again been recognized as one of the best restaurants in the country.

OpenTable, the popular dining reservations site, this week unveiled its 2015 list of the 100 Best Restaurants in America, and Cafe Provence found itself among the exclusive group.

It’s not the first time the French eatery has found itself in such select company. Cafe Provence made the OpenTable list in 2013, as well. It is the only restaurant in Kansas on the list. No other restaurant in the Kansas City area – or in the entire state of Missouri — was on the list, either.

Cafe Provence opened at the Village Shops in 2001, and quickly established a reputation as one of the metro area’s most sophisticated restaurants. Serving progressive French Provençal cuisine, it is a frequent fixture on “best of” lists, including being named best restaurant in the Kansas City area by Zagat in 2013.
