Mission’s Johnson Drive will add two new restaurants next week when PepperJax Grill opens in the Cornerstone Commons project and Qdoba opens on the other side of Johnson Drive in the old Schlotzsky’s building.
Qdoba, a Mexican restaurant, will be open to the public for the first time on Monday evening, but no money is required that night. Qdoba will run a fundraiser from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday when the price of a meal will be the donation of a coat or blanket for Project Warmth. Cash donations to the project also will be accepted.
The full first day for Qdoba will be Tuesday, Dec. 8. The Denver-based restaurant is a corporate owned business. The full menu can be found here. Qdoba has been running soft-opening invitation events this week to prepare for the opening. It is located at 6350 Johnson Drive near the new Starbucks.
PepperJax Grill is the third of the four restaurants that will join Natural Grocers in the Cornerstone Commons project at the corner of Johnson Drive and Barkley. Already open are Pie Five Pizza and Potbelly Sandwich Shop. PepperJax will join them with an opening on Wednesday, Dec. 9. Still to come is Five Guys Burgers which is likely to open by January.
The specialty at PepperJax is the Philly steak sandwich. The company started in 2002 with its first restaurant in Omaha, Neb. The PepperJax menu is here.
